“It is not enough to be present, we must be active”

— Mike England, President of St. Mary’s High School

At St. Joseph Housing Initiative, we rely on the generous and enthusiastic support of volunteers to help us with renovation projects that include fence-building, yard work, cleaning, painting, carpentry, and more.  Our volunteers are also active in the community, assisting on SJHI-sponsored delegations to neighborhood cleanups, or at SJHI information tables at outreach events.  Finally, volunteers assist mightily in fundraising efforts and event support, helping us ensure our work can continue.

Our volunteers range from Dutchtown community members to greater St. Louis Neighbors, and include members of a diverse array of faith communities, schools, professional associations, and more .  We are constantly looking for skilled professionals to donate their time, expertise and materials, and we are proud to partner with organizations that share similar missions of community justice and building a hope-filled future for all.
